The Death Of Stars

… And the birth of the atoms that make us who we are. Without the extreme conditions that are present, the processes that create the heavier elements would not be able to happen, and the universe would probably be made up of mainly hydrogen and helium only. We think our sun is a third generation star- this means that our solar system is made from atoms that were created in two other stars that lived and died before our sun came to be.

We’re all made of stardust.
